In Cross Creek, we follow columnist Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings (Mary Steenburgen) in the late 1920s, as she moves to Cross Creek, Florida, to dedicate herself to writing a serious novel. In The Ghost Writer, we are introduced to a successful ghostwriter, the Ghost (Ewan McGregor), that has agreed to finish the memoirs of Adam Long (Pierce Brosnan), England's former prime minister, his publisher assures him it's the chance of a lifetime.
